Tour Dates: To be confirmed
You have to believe us when we tell you there is a lot more to this trip than just the fact that it ends with two night in New Orleans’ famous French Quarter. Gulf Coast and Gumbo is a journey through the heart of the South. It is a chance to get up close and personal with the landscape and the people who have endured some of the most memorable events in American history. Oh yeah, and it ends with two nights in New Orleans!
Day 1 Orlando Arrival 0 miles
Welcome to Orlando, Florida. This is the land of perpetual sunshine and, of course, Mickey Mouse. Enjoy the sights, sounds and many attractions of Orlando as you are likely thawing out from a cold winter back home. Tonight we’ll meet the EagleRider team and our fellow riders for a cold drink and welcome dinner. I’ll bet you could get used to this real fast!
St. Augustine, Florida is the kind of city that will make you want to put down your bike and pick up a sword and an eye patch. Ayyyy matey, tis the land of the Caribbean pirate, and you feel like you have stepped back in time. No doubt you will enjoy this vibrant and eclectic coastal city. The weather is great, the drinks are cold and the shrimp are plentiful. Just be careful you don’t end up on “The Rack”.
Early today we will just kiss the southern border of Georgia as we rumble through the vast Osceola National Forest and start to make our way towards the Gulf of Mexico. Our final stop tonight is the small town of Perry, Florida. Tomorrow we start our journey along the Gulf Coast.
The Gulf of Mexico really comes alive as we rumble along her shores on our way to Panama City, Florida. Panama City is a lively coastal town that offers captivating views, southern hospitality and some great food. Tonight will be a group dinner Gulf Coast style, with buckets of shrimp, bottomless cold drinks and great live music.
Biloxi, Mississippi is one of our favorite cities along the Gulf Coast. Lunch today is gumbo, Mississippi style. We’ll roll along the back roads of Mississippi and find ourselves slipping back in time as we pass the small fishing towns that look much like they did 100 years ago. Biloxi jumps at night! Try your hand at one of her river boat casinos or take in a few of the local hot spots that feature down home, southern rock and roll.
You may have lost a few bucks at the blackjack tables in Biloxi last night, but don’t fret. Today is your lucky day as we make the short trip up the Gulf Coast to one of EagleRider’s favorite cities in the world, New Orleans. The French Quarter is alive with a patchwork of people, incredible food and southern libations all year round. This is the part you have likely been waiting for. Don’t miss a second of the fun! P.S. EagleRider knows all of the best spots for whatever tickles your fancy in New Orleans.
If you didn’t get enough of New Orleans yesterday you are still in luck. The French Quarter never sleeps, and that’s why EagleRider always stays two nights in this incredible city. Let us know what you want to see today. We’ll be making a special side trip to the cemetery that was made famous in the movie “Easyrider”. Tonight, more of the same.
Thanks for sharing this incredible journey with EagleRider. The breakfast conversation today almost always turns to plans for our next ride together. Saying goodbye to new friends is the hard part, but somehow we all know we’ll be riding together again very soon. We have a motto here at EagleRider Motorcycle Tours…, It’s never too early to start dreaming about next year!
