Thank you Hadrian V Twin Tours for all your help and advice connected to our trip to the USA. We had a fantastic time. Everything went to plan, the bike collection was seamless and we got the bikes we requested, Triumph Tiger 800’s. which performed perfectly. All the hotels were excellent and we were expected at each one. The routes were superb with just the right amount of riding time between each location to allow us to enjoy the experience. We have returned with many wonderful memories (and hundreds of photos) and lots of stories to relate over a pint! We only have one problem, how do we top that!! Another trip at some point in the future I think. Once again thanks for all your help, we couldn’t have done it without your expertise. Cheers, Phil & Steve
Just a note to say how much we enjoyed the Cowboys and Canyons tour in May this year. This is the first time we have gone on an organised guided tour and we could not have picked a better tour company, tour and tour guides to do it with. The choice of hotels were excellent with great scenery around them. All had very comfortable rooms with good food that was more than ample for us.The hire bike, a HD Heritage Softail proved very comfortable and easy to ride except the clunky gearbox and difficult to reach side stand, but that was our first time on a Harley. The route was great with quiet roads and just the right range of temperatures in May and with stunning scenery and rock formations all the way it would be a geologists dream come true. We had a good balance of stops for photos, food and fuel against making progress on the days ride. Our tour guides, George and Lorraine were great fun and took all the everyday worries of touring away, seeing to everything from refuelling to hotel check-ins and keeping the end of day beers chilled. Having the backup van following behind gave us a worry free tour although we felt sorry for Lorraine driving it as we are sure she would rather have been riding a Harley with us.Our touring companions along with George and Lorraine were all great company throughout the tour and we had lots of laughs and hope to keep in touch with them all. We will have good memories of the tour as it was brilliant.Duncan & Sandra
John and Dot did an amazing job organizing our trip of a lifetime.
We married in the Harley Cafe, Las Vegas and then embarked on our Trip. We stopped in some amazing places and saw so much awesome scenery.
We enjoyed our trip so much We have now booked to do Chicago to LA (Route 66) in October 2017.
So looking forward to it. Steve and Gina
A well organised biking tour that went without a hitch, however the fantastic roads and scenery, lack of traffic and extremely amiable locals and fellow bikers made this a week I will never forget, I have toured Europe but there is nothing there that has all of the ingredients that the South Island of New Zealand has. Ian Proud
Having ridden a heavy weight touring motorcycle in the western American mountains for over 50,000 miles, I thought I knew mountain riding. I was wrong. The roads in the Alps and Dolomites are steeper, tighter and narrower with much more traffic. The views are comparable but much more developed with neat houses, villages and farmsteads. The restaurants and hotels are beyond compare. And yes, Swiss brown cows do wear big bells around their necks. I would not hesitate to recommend this ride to any experienced rider. Thank you Nige and Jan for a great ride. Lee Smith, Montana, USA
The tour was a holiday of a lifetime. The bike from Eaglerider was great and virtually new and an absolute pleasure to ride. The tour was well organised and the guides (Nigel and John) could not do enough to make sure everyone enjoyed the experience. What I particularly liked was Nigel’s knowledge of route 66 and the history of the historic road which came alive with his daily briefs. I would certainly not hesitate to book again with Hadrian V Twin and would recommend them again to anyone planning an epic motorcycle trip such as route 66. Mike Harris
Great weather and great company made the trip memorable. Well done to Nige, John and Mike for looking after us, so glad I stayed with the group as I’m sure I would have missed the many sights and venues visited had I rode on my own? The support vehicle was a great idea with not having to carry your luggage on the bike, although I did take too much!! I have and will continue to recommend to others to sign up and do it! Thanks again Jan and Nige, so grateful for your assistance in sorting out the accommodation and bike hire. Am looking at my next trip away and hoping to do either Sturges or the ’Tail of the Dragon” tour (Music & Mountains). Gil
Well what can I say….. We had an amazing time with some amazing people. Went with old friends and made new ones as well. Nigel, John, Hilary and Mike were all so supportive to everyone and the knowledge they have is vast. It shows that they enjoy their tours in everything they say and do. Without you guys we would have struggled to see the things we saw and even more to actually stay on the route would have been really hard on our own. Everyone was treated with respect and I feel that even with 2 groups running side by side we all got on. Would recommend your company without a second thought and we are looking to book up again for a different tour. The pre tour info and help with forms, flights etc was very professional and you were always there if we had any questions. We would like to thank you all for making it the best time ever. Heather, Steve, Alan, Martin, Pete and Rob
I just want to say how much Simon and I enjoyed our Route 66 tour with your company. We had an absolutely marvellous time and I would like to thank our guides Mike and his wife Hilary, for looking after us and coping so well with the various “obstacles” that cropped up en-route – not least the bout of apparent food-poisoning that laid low many of the team in both groups. Fortunately we were not affected, but perhaps that was because of our tough Northern disposition (or maybe that we skipped lunch on that particular day)! Thanks also to John and Nigel, who although in charge of the other group, were most helpful and informative throughout the journey. The organisation was excellent and the accommodation far exceeded our expectations. We had only one day (in Santa Fe) where the weather was not kind to us and the night before when we encountered a hailstorm with stones about the size of large marbles. Other than that it was fine weather all the way. The bikes were great, perfect for such long trips and although I would never buy a Harley, Simon fell in love with his “Fatbob” and was all set to do the return journey! I could not fault the organisation and the sheer value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending you to any others who might be considering such a trip. Fantastic. Don’t tell Mike, but ……………….we will be back! Ian (& Simon) Cullen
Thanks Nige, John and Mike for yet another truly memorable Deliverance Ride. 3000 miles of sheer riding bliss. Great company, old and new, perfect weather, fantastic scenery and a beaming smile on my face for each day’s riding. Allan Wright
It was another great ride from West to East with a great team ( Hadrian V Twin ) providing the navigation, rear safety bike and also the back up van which proved its worth. ( well done chaps ) The weather en route was fantastic all the way except for a brief downpour of rain and a flurry of hailstones one morning which fortunately didn’t amount to much and weather proofs were quickly discarded. The accommodation was very good all the way and the occasional breakfast stop offs at the Waffle House was well timed and well received even the waitress recognised me from last years ride, so we must be making an impression on the locals or eating them out of house and home :0))
The bikes were excellent and eye catching, none encountered any issues except for the Indian getting a rear wheel puncture which was repaired very quickly thanks to John and the support van. I have done this ride twice now and won’t hesitate to do it again with like minded people. It is not a ride for the faint hearted, but it will reward the faint hearted with dramatic scenery and the fantastic American people and culture all the way from LA to Orlando. Safe riding Ray Pearson
We did this tour (Blazing Saddles) last May with Nige and Jan and I have to say it was the most wonderful experience. Meeting up in Vegas with fellow riders who would soon become friends was great and Vegas was amazing from the fabulous themed hotels to the spectacular shows which we were able to see. Travelling along part of route 66 was really cool and Nige was able to take us to some really old hangouts along the way. The Grand Canyon was breath taking, the scenery was the most beautiful sight I have every seen truly amazing. Jan and Nige were the best tour guides and we look forward to riding again with them soon. Stuart and Kearry
Once again John & Dot, many thanks for an absolutely BRILLIANT trip! Definitely the holiday of a lifetime. I don’t know how we are going to beat it ……… but we’ll try …….. 2 years time? What a great bunch of folk! Completely different from last time! We had an absolute BLAST!!!! The whole thing was superb .. the scenery, the hotels, the food(the diet has started), the roads. Fantastic organisation …. all down to you two ….. WELL DONE! Heather & Willie Pirrie
For Me, Deliverance 2014 was Good, Sturgis 2015 Was Mind Blowing, I’m So Looking Forward To Deliverance 2015. You Won’t Get Better Than Hadrian V Twin. They Run A Good Show. Gerard Rice
Just returned from the “Alpine Adventure”. What a great couple of weeks. Thanks to Nige & Jan for guiding us through some great scenery and mountain passes. All hotels were good, but 2 were absolutely fantastic. All food was excellent and diverse. Would love to do this trip again. Austria was particularly great, as was the 3 days spent at “European Bike Week”. Roads were far better than UK and less traffic too. My wife’s not a “Biker”. So she’s not used to riding pillion for 3000 miles, but she would do this again. For both of us, it was all about the scenery, stunning. Great company too. Was no. 2 on my bucket list. No. 1 is Stateside…but where? Thanks again guys. Gaz and Ange Chelton
Just a quick email to let you know we are all back safe and sound 2000 miles, 9 tanks of fuel, 3 deserts and God knows how much sun block later, and had a fantastic time thanks to your help Dot. The bikes and route were outstanding, and the service this time was great from the staff at ER Las Vegas (where the bikes were rented from and returned). Only thing to note was they do not reimburse the taxi fare from the airport, the manager said only LA practice (Dot has since arranged for the taxi fare to be reimbursed). No doubt at all we will be booking again, and you will definitely be our first call. Possibly something similar to the Baja tour next time maybe.? Thanks again, Lee, Calum, Jacko and Danny
We have just returned from the Ultimate Sturgis Tour 2015 – WOW!! With the 75th Anniversary of Sturgis rally in the middle, the whole tour was packed with amazing landscapes, big open roads, incredible mountain passes, wonderful hotels, Route 66, brilliant company along the way – even a rodeo thrown in for good measure! The group was a great friendly bunch and Dot and John of Hadrian V-Twin were fantastic; we could not better the tour or the hosts. We were not experienced at long tours in large groups, but the whole trip was an amazing adventure. This was a once-in-a-lifetime tour for us and the memories will live with us forever. Thanks again to everyone who made it so special. Al & Tracey
I had a wonderful time on Route 66 (July 2015) and a happy memory that will never leave me. This wouldn’t have happened without Hillary & Mike who made our journey very special from the site seeing, safety and a very good time. Stuart Bremner
What a fantastic adventure we had on Route 66 (July 2015) with Hilary & Mike Dall, who looked after us really well. We are already thinking of further tours with ‘Hadrian V Twin Tours’Colin and Debbie Dancer
Our Blazing Saddles Tour with Hadrian V Twin was a great combination of classic Harley riding on classic American roads combined with some real American experiences. The stay at the Dude Ranch was much better than expected and the stay and boat ride at Havasu City made the tour something more and better than the Harley experience that we originally signed up for. All this combined with the relaxed but well organised route planning and the excellent company made for an exceptional holiday. Thanks again. Cliff & Hilary Ogden
You’ve probably seen the messages on Facebook praising HVT, but I thought it only proper that I drop you a little note to say that, in particular, Mike and Hillary did a fantastic job of looking after us throughout the tour (Route 66 22 July 2015). It was a pleasure to have travelled with them and there’s already talk of most of the group getting together for another run with HVT. Had an excellent time!! Thanks a million. Abe Hills
The whole experience of the tour (Music & Mountains 2015) was 1st class from start to finish. The welcome meeting let us know what to expect and gave everyone a good idea of what it would be like riding in the states, which was very helpful if you haven’t done this before. The communication was great and I found the information pack to be very useful as you knew roughly how many miles you would be riding on a daily basis, which I think helped Alyson a lot.The brief each morning was good as Nige explained the types of roads we would be taking as well as where we would be most likely to hit the heavy traffic. All of the places we visited were brilliant and some we may not have been able to find ourselves. All of the hotels were top class and just the comfort that you needed at the end of a day in the saddle. It was also good to have some local knowledge about where we were and the types of things to do, eat and drink on a night. I think one of the biggest advantages of being on the tour was having the support vehicle as there was no worry about what we could fit on the bike and that all of our luggage was stored safely in the back of the van.Overall I think both Nige and Jan went over and above what was expected to look after everyone, making sure they had enough water through the day or where they were going to eat on a night. Finally, you can’t really say how good the whole experience was more than Alyson being so apprehensive about taking the trip on the back of the bike, to coming back with a huge grin from ear to ear after thoroughly enjoying everything that we did and looking forward to the next trip. Gary and Alyson Robinson
I have always wanted to go to Vegas, so this trip was ideal (Blazing Saddles 2015). It was a first for me and Lisa doing a guided tour so we went with open minds. And I’m so glad we did, its the best holiday we have ever had, so much to see and do. Vegas is wild, the Grand Canyon is breathtaking, Lake Havasu is beautiful and the Dude Ranch was one memory I will never forget. There were many other places on route. Don’t think about it …..do it trust me you will love every minute – just a shame we had to come home. Mark & Lisa
If Carlsberg did H-D Motorcycle tours of the Southern U.S.A. they would probably be just like Hadrian V-Twins (but the weather would be perfect!). Julie and I had an AWESOME (does that mean great in America?) time yet again (Music & Mountains 2015 and Cowboys & Canyons 2013) and can thoroughly recommend Hadrian V-Twin to anyone pondering whether to book a tour. We were made to feel fully included, well looked after, kept well informed, nursemaided when Julie left part of her arm on a hot exhaust pipe and generally ‘adopted’ for two weeks by Jan and Nige. As Forest Gump once said – Just do it! Julie & Albert Ratcliffe
We had always wanted to visit the Deep South, USA and found no better way than on the Music & Mountains Tour (2015) riding a HD Ultra Glide. Nashville, Gracelands, New Orleans, so many memories of good riding & company. Already thinking of what tour to go on next. John and Denise Bodsworth
Just wanted to say thank you for another great adventure with HVT (Music & Mountains 29 June 2015). We really enjoyed the mix of towns and countryside, with the Dragons Tail and the unique Nachez trail at the start of the trip and bustling cities with music in every bar towards the end. The 4th July fireworks were brilliant, but our favourite place of the whole tour was New Orleans. Oh and Gracelands!! We met some great people and plan to keep in touch with them now we are home. Definitely one to remember and the memories will stay with us for years to come. Looking forward to touring with you again soon. Sue and Dave Brown
Just back from Music and Mountains 29 June 2015, our 2nd trip with HVT. And once again the trip was fantastic, from day one the organisation and attention to detail was first class. Look forwarding to planning our next trip with you soon. John & Jane Langan
We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week adventure, the Music and Mountains 2015 tour, with Nige and Jan Collis at Hadrian V-Twin motorcycle tours. The organisation was really smooth even though we had some serious weather thrown at us….but the music, the food and the company made up for it. And the best thing…..we are still reliving all those memories here back home in Greece! Valerie Sebastian
I was not sure what to expect on Route 66 (22.5.15), and was nervous about doing the 2800 miles on the other side of the road on a strange bike. Can I put the miles in I kept saying to myself? This trip would be more miles on the clock than I have done in 5 years on my bike. We met our fabulous tours guides Nige and Jan Collis along with 18 others on the group. I experienced something I have never had before “getting everything done for me” I turn up, get my bike and ride!! Does it get any better, yes it does!!! Nige was an amazing group leader and I felt safe all the way, stopping for sightseeing breaks and comfort stops; while rubbing our bums and getting our jackets off Jan would come out of the support vehicle to check we were all ok and forced us to drink lovely chilled water As we arrived at our destination at night, very tired we did not even have to check in to the hotel, Jan organised getting our room keys as well as information on facilities while we unpack the cases from the support vehicle ( well… not met, played the girl card a few times), standing around chatting reflecting on our daily experience while having a lovely chilled cider, organised by Jan off course. I could go on forever writing about my trip but I would not want to spoil it for anyone. I would not have wanted to go with any other company nor had any other tour leaders as they were amazing and second to none. I have had the trip of a life time, not only has it made me a better rider but I met some amazing new friends. Treasured memories and thanks to all that made them Jeannie Reid
What can we say about Route 66 with Jan and Nige….IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!! From the first day of our adventure, we felt part of a team headed by two professional, friendly, knowledgeable and caring team leaders. Just do this trip, you will not be disappointed. Craig & Claire Wellings
I really enjoyed the trip (Route 66 Los Angeles to Chicago 7 June 2015), it was well planned from the pre- tour meeting in Newcastle to the end in Chicago. You really get to see a different side of the US.Nige was a mind of interesting info about Route 66, would recommend Harian V Twin to anyone. John Cooper
We have just returned from a fantastic , epic ride on Route 66 (22 May 2015) organised by Hadrian V Twin .The trip was 12 months in the planning and after meeting Nige & Jan at the ExCel Bike show in London, my mate Paul Bartlett and I decided to sign up.Arriving in Chicago our hotel was great and this was to be repeated at every stop , all of the accommodation was of an excellent standard , especially the comfort of the beds .Jan and Nige looked after the group so well with all our needs catered for .We met some really great people and rode some of the best roads, saw some awesome scenery, from the plains of Oklahoma to the mountains of California. So if you’re thinking of riding the Mother Road , Hadrian V Twin is the company to trust to give you the safest, most informative and above all the best laugh you will ever have. Phil Slater
The Route 66 trip had been on my bucket list to do for around 5 years as it was one of those road trips that gets talked about more than any other road trip, hence its name, ‘The Mother Road’.
Three years ago I was recommended ‘Hadrian V Twin’ by a customer of mine, so I made the effort to have a chat with Nige and the team whilst they were exhibiting in London at the Excel.
They came across very friendly and never tried to cut the chat short so that they could be available to speak to other potential customers (which was perfect for me) after a long chat with Nige, my mind was made up to book the Route 66 tour with Hadrian V Twin, and so in May of 2015, I flew over with a very good friend of mine to Chicago to start the long ride across America.
We were made to feel really welcome by Jan and Nige Collis from the minute we arrived at our hotel.
Our group was made up of 22 people on 14 Harley Davidson’s and it was made up of a right mix of people from across England and Scotland. (it turned out to be a great bunch of people)
The trip itself leaves you feeling a sense of achievement, because 2750(ish) miles is a long way in the saddle but you come away with so many different experiences from Greenery to Desert and flat land to mountains and even snow, Route 66 has everything!
All the time whilst you are either at your Hotel, on the road, or in a café/shopping or the restaurant, Nige & Jan were always there to assist with any assistance or help you required!
This makes your trip all that more enjoyable knowing that you have guidance every step of the way.
Every Hotel had been carefully chosen and they even had that spot on! I had a great sleep every night.
Nige and Jan have been doing this for so long that they have it finely tuned to perfection and I would not think twice about booking another trip with Hadrian V Twin if the opportunity arises again in the future! Paul Bartlett
Just completed Reverse Route 66 Tour (Los Angeles to Chicago 7 June 2015) with Mike and Hilary, what an experience!! We had such an amazing time (Life Changing) with our own personal ” Tour Guides ” Mike and Hilary, they were absolutely brilliant and made the trip even more memorable. If anyone is in two minds about doing this tour don’t mess about wasting time just BOOK IT!! Steve and Mary Farrance
Thanks for the most fantastic holiday (Music & Mountains 2015) & you will be seeing us again in the future. Stuart wants to do Route 66 at some point, so we’ll definitely be seeing you again !! Barbara & Stuart Napier
Thank you very much for a lovely holiday (Music & Mountains 2015). You both worked really hard to ensure every one had a great time. Gordon & Judi Davies
I can’t thank Nige and Jan Collis enough for the most amazing experience on our recent Route 66 (May 2015) adventure from Chicago to Santa Monica. We were spoiled – all our accommodation was taken care of, they picked some great wee places for food, they sorted out fuel and they carried our luggage (and extra luggage – too many souvenirs) and even arranged a nice cold cider at the end of each day. It was perfect. All we had to do was literally sit back and enjoy the ride.
Nige is an amazing lead rider – inspiring us to continue and I trusted him implicitly. I didn’t know the road in front of me but I knew the destination – and under his expert guidance we made it safely to Santa Monica.
I learned a lot about myself on that trip and as a result have made a few changes to my life. I made some good friends too and although everyone asks me about the trip – it’s something that you have to do for yourself because all the photos and stories can never compare with what I experienced along with my riding buddy Jeannie.
Thank you and I hope I get the chance to do another adventure with you in the near future.
Route 66 WOW!! What can I say, a trip of a Lifetime Linda and myself can never do it justice when describing the adventure we had to family and friends. As for Nige and Jan they are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, very hard working, organised but even more they make you feel part of a family whilst on the trip. So if your looking for a trip of a Lifetime, look no further just get your name down for the next one.
Grahame & Linda, May 2015.
We would like to than you both (Jan and Nige) for the fantastic time we had on the recent Blazing Saddles tour. We really enjoyed every day, which was due to the additional time and effort you both put in to ensuring all went as smoothly as possible and ensuring that if there were any problems or niggles that these were corrected without delay. We thank you for your care and attention. The particular high points for us regarding accommodation were the Tanque Verde ranch, the Copperwynd resort, and Lake Havasu Nautical resort which although not up to the very high standards of the preceding was an ideal holiday location.
The high points of the ride for me were;
- The individual 60 mile ride from Hackberry Stores to the Road Kill Café. It was a real buzz getting to the middle of a 6 mile straight and seeing nothing else on the road in front or behind. We wish we had the camera to hand to record the event.
- Riding the twisties down into Oak Ridge Canyon. A great move of yours to pull in and wait for a gap in the traffic!
- The varying scenery over nearly all of the trip showed a very good choice of routes. Again we thank you for an extremely good holiday. Teresa and Eddie Sheppard
We wanted to drop you a line (Nige & Jan) to say thank you for the best holiday we have ever had. Route 66 (22.5.15) was a dream holiday and you two helped make it a reality. We had a ball, we met a group of amazing people and feel like we have made good friends for life. The effort and organisation put into the trip by yourselves meant everything went like clockwork and all we had to worry about was where we could buy another t-shirt! The memory of dancing to AC DC in the Mojave Desert will stay with us forever.
We would be more than happy to recommend this or any other trip organised by Hadrian V-Twin to anyone who is thinking about booking and we look forward to joining you again in the not too distant future.
Best wishes for all future tours Dave & Sharon Webb
The trip (Route 66 7.6.15) has been so amazing on so many levels and Jan and Nige have made it that way for us. I have learned so much, met so many great people and changed more than I thought I would. You guys are not tour guides, you are the facilitators of dreams. I felt safe all the time with you Jan watching our backs and you Nige guiding us through the miles. Its those behind the scenes stuff I really appreciate too, having the ice ready every morning before we have even stirred from our beds and checking us all in the hotels while we have a drink, smoke and talk bolox outside. Jan you had done just the same miles as us and must have been just as tired but still checked in 5 rooms and sorted me a bath and wifi etc always with a smile and for that too I say a massive thanks. The trip has been so amazing words cant really describe it, one has to experience it to understand. We all have different back stories and we all experience the same trip but we each took something different away from it.I’m the kind of guy that will face off any challenge in life but after this trip I know I face stuff with a new calmness and peace, what a lovely feeling that is.The trip itself was just right, going to places off the 66 like Big Bear and Vegas were awesome, following the 66 at the right places and interstate at the right places too made it all so enjoyable. And thanks again for the gifts that really was so thoughtful. I cant wait to put my morning cuppa on the coaster and smile remembering 66 and you guys. You really are special people and a great team.So now I just need an operation to sort out the bow legs I’ve developed and I’m all set for the next one!! Oh and build a porch I can sit on with a JD and cigar. Now where I can buy dungerees nowadays!!Take care and ride safe and I’ll see you at the NEC. All the very best. Jon Kersey
Just want to say a huge thank you to Nige and Jan Collis for the most amazing trip ever!! (Route 66 22.5.15) This trip was my husband Kenny’s dream and one of his bucket list. I myself never having been keen on the bike, was very apprehensive prior to joining the team in Chicago, but wanted to be part of Kenny’s dream.
All I Can say is the trip was the best trip we have ever done!!! Kenny lived his dream and got another tick on the bucket list.
Hadrian V twin Tours (Nige and Jan) pulled out all the stops and we had the time of our lives. I loved the fact I had a choice of joining Jan in the van when I chose to, saying that I did manage to ride on the bike every day!! This gave Kenny a chance to ride without worrying about me on the back lol
We saw some wonderful memorable places on the mother road and have great memories which will live with us forever!!
All the stop over hotels were excellent and we thank you for great choice.
Can’t wait for summer 2017 for our next trip with you!!! (Music & Mountains)
Kenny and Jacqui Sharp

What a brilliant trip Route 66 LA to Chicago was, and what an excellent and organised company Hadrian V Twin is. We can highly recommend Hadrian V Twin as the tour company to use for your next motorcycle tour. Martin and Becci Ellerton April 2015
I haven’t got one single regret about deciding to go on this trip (Alpine Adventure 2013)!
Couldn’t pick a better company to do a trip with than Hadrian V Twin. Went on the Route 66 tour July 2013 with Jan & Nige, an amazing experience. Gordon Blair
I did it! Rode from LA to Chicago – Awesome! Jan & Nige made this dream a reality for me with their fantastic organisation and Nige, your tour guiding was second to none. Sue Dearne
